Jalil’s body arrives


The body of former Awami League General Secretary and Advisory Council member Abdul Jalil arrived at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka Thursday evening in a Bangladesh Biman flight. Central AL leaders received the body at the airport. The body was taken to the refrigeration room of United Hospital. At 9:30am Friday the body will be taken to Mercantile Bank headquarters and then to AL central office at Bangabandhu Avenue. His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad at 11:15am. The body of the late AL leader will be carried to his home district Naogaon by helicopter at 11am Saturday where another namaz-e-janaza will be held at Etim ground. He will be buried at the family graveyard of Chokpran area of Naogaon town. Abdul Jalil passed away Wednesday at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
