Everybody back home waited for Ashraful to complete the first test double century for Bangladesh.
Ashraful did not succeed but skipper Mushfiqur Rahim did.
Resuming on 189, Ashraful added just 1 run before being caught at slip by Angelo Matthews off Rangana Herath.
At the other end, Mushfiq resumed on 152.
He needed just 48 runs to reach the historic landmark. That is exactly what he did.
Just after completing the double century, Mushfiq was trapped lbw by Nuwan Kulasekera.
Mushfiq faced 321 balls to score 200 runs.
He hammered 22 fours and 1 six on his way to the double century.
