Cop killed in Khulna

A police member of Kaira thana of the district was killed by miscreants while he was on duty to arrest the accused in the early hours of Sunday. The dead was identified as Mofizul Islam, 50, hailed from Narail. Kaira Thana OC Khairul Kabir said Mofizul was shot dead by miscreants in Goalkhali area of the upazila while he was carrying out his duty to arrest accused. The body was recovered and was kept in the Kaira Police Station, he added.
