Legal notice seeks BCB action on ICC umpires

Dhaka: A legal notice was served on the authorities of Bangladesh C
ricket Board (BCB) requesting them to file an appeal with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for punishing the umpires for their wrong decisions in quarter-final between Bangladesh and India on March 19.
Supreme Court lawyer Eunus Ali Akond sent the legal notice to the team manager of the BCB, its president and secretary to the sports ministry, asking them to submit the appeal within 24 hours.
He also asked BCB to seek adequate compensation of money as double as the values of the ICC World Gold Cup 2015 and goodwill to Bangladesh.
The SC lawyer said that the umpires Ian Gould and Aleem Dar had given three wrong decisions regarding dismissals of Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah Riyad and no ball call of Rubel Hossain during the cricket match in the quarter-final between Bangladesh and India in Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
“Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah were not actually out and Rubel Hossain’s delivery to the Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma was not actually a no-ball,” he said.
He added, “ICC authorities rescheduled the match on March 19 from March 21. The cricket match was supposed to be held in Wellington venue in New Zealand, but the match was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.”

Eunus Ali told The Daily Star that he will file a writ petition with the High Court seeking necessary order on the BCB authorities if they do not appeal to the ICC authorities.

Selena Gomez advices Jeff Ross on roasting Justin Bieber

Dhaka:  Jeff Ross has revealed that he got tips from Justin Bieber's former girlfriend, Selena Gomez, on how to roast the 21-year old singer.

In a recent interview with The Huffington Post newspaper, the 49-year-old stand-up comedian admitted that he researched dirt about Bieber for 'Comedy Cnetral' roasting and asked Gomez as well for the tips, the Mirror reported.

Bieber and Gomez's on and off relationship for four years was also a part of the cruel jokes and Ross said in the show that Gomez too wanted to be there but was busy dating men and asked Bieber whether he dumped the 22-year-old because she grew a moustache before he did.

Ross also added that Gomez had sex with him proving that Mexicans would do the disgusting jobs that Americans just won't do.

During the show, the 'Boyfriend' singer apologized for his behavior over the last two years, saying he had lost some of his best qualities and looked forward to become someone to be proud of.

Is It OK To Fantasize About Someone Else Once You're Married?

It’s not just the fans of Fifty Shades of Grey who have sexual fantasies.
In fact, according to experts, most women — regardless of their relationship status — fantasize about sexual activities they’re not currently experiencing. “It’s completely natural for women to fantasize about other men. Even if you are in a committed relationship and in love with your partner, that doesn’t mean that you won’t find other men sexually attractive,” explains sex expert Nikki Ransom-Alfred. “We are sexual beings with wants and desires; men aren’t the only one’s who daydream about sex.”
It’s when those fantasies interfere with real life that we may experience problems. “It’s wise to be conscious of what the purpose of this fantasy may be,” says relationship expert and author Brandy Engler. “Often fantasies, like dreams, are revelatory of our deeper psychological wishes. A woman can ask herself: What do I need? It could be more passion, more attention, to feel powerful or sexy. When you can understand what it is you are longing for, then you can develop a plan for making that a reality in life.”
In fact, too often women rely on fantasies to fulfill their needs rather than ask their partner for what they want. And that’s where the trouble, especially when you’re married, comes in. “Women who don’t know how to ask for what they want are more prone to fantasy and negative assessment of their husband,” explains Engler.
But rather than trying to stop fantasizing altogether, you’re better off expressing your desires to your significant other. “As a sexual being, having fantasies is a normal and natural thing that boosts your sexual desire and arousal,” says Ransom-Alfred. “Studies have shown that those who have frequent sexual fantasies have a higher sex drive and sexual satisfaction, higher chance of orgasm, and are more sexually open in the bedroom. These are all qualities that you want to have in your marriage.”
Finally, avoid fantasizing about men whom you actually know. “It is not good to fantasize about someone close to you like a friend or coworker,” Ransom-Alfred says. “Having his lady fantasize about Brad Pitt is one thing but fantasizing about your husband’s old college buddy is something different. It’s just too close to home and if your guy ever found out, it could lead to jealousy or other ill feelings and cause unnecessary tension between all parties involved. Also, having sexual fantasies about someone close to you could lead to confusing feelings for that person in real life; it’s not worth the risk.”

Instead, bring the aspects of your fantasies into your relationship with your husband. “You don’t want to be a wild, adventurous sex goddess in your fantasies and not in real life,” says Ransom-Alfred. “Bring that passion into your relationship as well to maintain your exciting sex life. Also, allow yourself to be ‘taken away’ by your fantasies and overcome with desire so you can take all of that passion out on your guy. He will not complain!”

A suitcase laboratory against Ebola

A virologist from Göttingen has developed an easy to carry suitcase-lab that will enable medics to
run full-fledged genetic tests for a variety of viruses. Until now, this was all but unthinkable.
RPA-Mini-laboratory, developed by the German Primate Center in Göttingen (Foto: DPZ)
The RPA mini-lab includes everything to identify eight different viruses.
When a patient shows up at the doctor's office with fever, the first assumption in countries with colder climates usually is: "another case of the flu." In tropical regions, however, doctors are likely to offer "malaria" as a first ad hoc diagnosis. But this first assumption can be dangerously misleading. The fever could also have been triggered by a much more dangerous infection, such as the Dengue, Marburg or Chikungunya virus, or even - in the worst scenario - by Ebola.
Ahmed Abd el Wahed wants to give local clinics fast and reliable diagnostics
It is critical that medics obtain clarity about the origin of symptoms as early as possible. With this in mind, virologist Ahmed Abd El Wahed thought it would be good to have a small, mobile laboratory. He pursued his idea together with a colleague, Frank Torsten Hufert, at the University of Göttingen, where Abd El Wahed was researching at the time. Initially, his aim was to offer doctors in Mecca a device they could use to test pilgrims of the Hajj for the MERS-Corona-virus.
Back then, nobody in Saudi Arabia was interested in his suitcase. However, Abd El Wahed now hopes that the invention could be of use in Africa: a mobile laboratory, which fits into a suitcase, can run full-fledged genetic analyses on a number of different viruses. Moreover, the tests reach a degree of reliability that was so far unthinkable outside well-equipped classical medical laboratories. So the mini-lab is well suited for use in clinics in the Ebola-affected regions of West-Africa. And it is already in use there.
An Ebola rapid test - similar to a pregnancy test - has been on the market since January. However, the suitcase-lab is not supposed to replace that option.
But, while every physician can carry the rapid test at all times and identify an Ebola-infection with a high degree of certainty, the method is not fool-proof. There is still the possibility that an Ebola-infection remains undetected. Therefore, in case of suspicion, blood-tests will always have to be taken and sent to a proper laboratory for DNA-testing.
And this is where the suitcase lab comes into play: Abd El Wahed's brain child can perform in-depth DNA-analysis right on the spot - a great advantage in underdeveloped countries where bad roads can make transportation difficult. Furthermore, the lab can test blood samples for as many as eight different viruses, including all three known varieties of Ebola - something the instant test can't do.
Multiplying genetic information
To conduct DNA-analyses, researchers need to multiply specific sections of genetic information. Traditionally, this is done using a method called polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

A PCR goes through numerous heating and cooling cycles
This method is used when forensic investigators take genetic fingerprints, or when medics conduct a paternity test or food controllers want to find out the origins of meat.
But PCR requires a complex laboratory with extensive equipment. Test tubes with the genetic material must be heated and cooled repeatedly: first to 96 degrees, then to 50-60 degrees and again to 72 degrees Celsius. This procedure must be repeated numerous times, which can take hours. Also, some ingredients must be continuously cooled to minus 20 degrees Celsius during transport.
Breakthrough with a new method
This changed in 2006 when a team of researchers under biochemists Olaf Piepenburg and Niall Armes invented a new DNA multiplication procedure called recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA).
RPA multiplies the required genetic information of the viruses faster than PCR - within ten to fifteen minutes. In addition, RPA works at a continuous temperature of 37 degrees, which means no cooling is needed in the process or transport of ingredients.
In June 2014, Abd El Wahed, who works at the German Primate Center in Göttingen, had his suitcase ready for use. Piepenburg and Armes contributed necessary equipment and ingredients, which they have now converted into a start-up enterprise.

This is how PCR finds DNA-identities - through peaks in a diagram
Abd El Wahed's former boss, the virologist Manfred Weidmann - now teaching at the University of Sterling - contributed the specific RPA test for the Ebola virus.
The device receives its electric power from a solar panel. At the moment, it is being tested with cooperation partners of theInstitut Pasteur in Dakar/Senegal and with the Institute of Public Health in Guinea.

Besides hospitals, Abd El Wahed also thinks the suitcase could be useful at airports. "If someone arrives at an airport with symptoms, you can find out what he has in 15 Minutes," Abd El Wahed boasts. The estimated costs for the mini-lab is currently around 5000 euros. Each test costs about four euros.

What is SEO?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. What is that? Suppose you have a website that is alright is every way but you don't get visitors to your site. Why? This happens when your design of the site and the contents of each page are not carefully put together. Before you design your website you must know clearly the purpose of the site. The purpose of the site will tell you who you want to visit your site - men, women, teenagers, yount adults, middle age people, and so on. The purpose of the site will also tell you what to write in the various pages of your site. On the same topic you will write differently when you are writing for teenagers and when you are writing for middle age people. Your choice of graphics will also depend on the purpost and topic of the page and your target visitors. Your knowledge of SEO will guide you to pick right words and phrases for you content, headings, and sub-headings, even the title for your graphics (alternative text). If included carefully in your site, these elements will guide search engines (for exaple, Google) to send visitors to your site.
